SCCR and interrupting capacity — 53 kA at 400 V
The 3RA6120-2CB34 carries a short-circuit breaking capacity of 53 kA at 400 V. For a 400 V distribution system with a prospective fault current of, say, 25 kA, this starter holds the unit on the grid provided the upstream protective device is coordinated.
Trip class — adjustable CLASS 10 and 20
The overload relay is field-adjustable between CLASS 10 and CLASS 20. CLASS 20 allows up to 20 seconds, covering high-inertia loads like conveyors or crushers where the start transient lasts longer. The adjustment is a mechanical dial on the front face; no module swap needed.
DIN-rail footprint and wiring
Mounts on standard 35 mm DIN rail — 45 mm wide, 191 mm tall, 165 mm deep. Screw-and-snap-on fastening means you can pre-assemble the starter on a sub-panel and snap it onto the rail as a unit. The 24 V AC/DC coil is common across the SIRIUS family, so a shared control transformer feeds multiple starters without separate rectifiers.
Environmental and mechanical endurance
Rated for continuous operation per IEC 60947-6-2, pollution degree 3 — that is the industrial environment with conductive dust and condensation. Shock resistance 60 m/s² (6g) for 10 ms, three shocks per axis; vibration resistance per the spec: 4–5.8 Hz at 15 mm amplitude, 5.8–500 Hz at 20 m/s², 10 cycles. Operating temperature -20 to +60 °C, storage/transport -55 to +80 °C. Two status LEDs give local indication of coil energisation and overload trip.
