The Siemens 3RA6250-2AB33 is a SIRIUS compact reversing starter — a single device that combines a contactor, overload relay, and reversing interlock in one package. The adjustable trip class (Class 10 or 20) lets you match the overload curve to the motor's starting profile: Class 10 for fast-starting loads like pumps, Class 20 for high-inertia loads like fans or conveyors that take longer to accelerate. Control voltage is 24 V AC/DC, which is the standard for modern PLC-driven panels — no separate control transformer needed for the coil.
Integration notes
The reversing starter occupies a 90 mm wide by 191 mm high footprint on the DIN rail — plan for that panel space. The main circuit uses plug-in terminals without screw connections, which speeds wiring and reduces torque-verification steps during commissioning. Solid and stranded conductors from 0.25 to 1.5 mm² are accepted on the control terminals. Three onboard LEDs give status indication for run, fault, and power — useful for line-side troubleshooting without opening the panel door.
