The 3RA6500-1BB42 is a SIRIUS compact reversing starter — a single device that handles forward/reverse motor control in one DIN-rail footprint, eliminating the need for two separate contactors and a mechanical interlock. Rated 370 W at 400 V (AC-3 duty per IEC 60947-6-2), it draws 1.25 A per phase in continuous operation — sized for small conveyors, pumps, and actuator drives up to 0.5 hp at 460/480 V. The IO-Link interface (COM2, 38.4 kBaud) streams diagnostic data — coil status, trip class, overload count — back to the controller, so a line-side PLC sees the starter's health without hardwired feedback.
Short-circuit coordination and trip tuning
