Short-circuit rating and trip class — what they mean for panel coordination
Rated 53 kA at 400 V, this starter can be installed on a supply with up to 53 kA prospective fault current without needing a current-limiting upstream breaker — saves a panel slot and avoids a coordination study for the motor branch. Trip class is adjustable between CLASS 10 and CLASS 20. For a pump or fan starting under load, set it to CLASS 20 to avoid nuisance trips during the longer acceleration ramp; for a light-duty conveyor, CLASS 10 gives faster overload protection.
Mounting and wiring — DIN rail, any orientation, screw terminals
Snap-on mounting to standard 35 mm DIN rail, vertical or horizontal orientation accepted. The housing can also be screw-mounted directly to a backplate. Any mounting position is permitted — no derating needed for side or inverted installation.
