PE infeed for SIRIUS motor starters — 32 mm wide, spring terminals
The 3RA6860-5AC: This is the PE (protective earth) infeed module for the SIRIUS motor starter system — it brings the protective conductor into the starter combination and passes it through to the load side. At 32 mm wide on the DIN rail, it takes up one standard module slot, leaving room for the contactor and overload relay alongside. The main circuit connects via spring-loaded terminals that accept solid or stranded copper from 4 mm² up to 35 mm². That covers the common PE conductor sizes for motor circuits up to the 63 A rating at 400 V AC. Stripped length is 23 mm — consistent with the rest of the SIRIUS 3RA6 series, so no change to your wire prep routine.
The 63 A operational current at 400 V AC is the continuous rating for the PE infeed path. In a motor starter combination, this is the current the infeed must carry under normal operation and fault conditions until the upstream protective device clears. The spring terminal connection is rated for this full 63 A without derating in a 40 °C ambient — the operating range is -20 to +60 °C, so a panel sitting at 50 °C is still inside the envelope. Finger-safe to IP20 on the front face per IEC 60529, with pollution degree 3 — suitable for the typical industrial control panel environment where conductive dust or condensation might be present. The touch protection means an operator reaching into the panel won't contact live parts during maintenance with the panel door open.

It mates mechanically and electrically with the corresponding 3RA6 contactor and overload relay modules on the same DIN rail.
