Integrated reversing starter for ET 200SP
The Siemens 3RA8512-1EE00 is a factory-assembled intelligent load feeder reversing starter from the SIRIUS 3RA8 family, built for the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It integrates a 3RC7141-1EE00 interface module, a 3RV2311-1EC20 motor circuit breaker, and two 3RT2017-2BB42 contactors into a single unit rated 0.4-4 A at up to 690 V AC with Type 2 coordination.
The 0.4-4 A current range covers small reversing motor loads — conveyors, valve actuators, or hoist drives — where forward/reverse switching is needed. Type 2 coordination means the starter withstands fault currents up to its rated short-circuit capacity without damage to the contactors; after a fault you replace only the upstream breaker, not the entire feeder. The 690 V AC rating accommodates 400 V and 480 V line supplies with headroom. Frame size S00 is the smallest SIRIUS footprint, designed for direct mounting on the ET 200SP backplane bus. This eliminates point-to-point wiring between the PLC and the motor starter — the reversing logic is handled through the interface module, not external interlock relays.
