What the 9 A rating means for a reversing contactor
The 3RA9012-5AM13: The 9 A rating at 24 VDC coil voltage places this reversing contactor in the light-to-medium motor control range — think small conveyors, fan reversers, or actuator drives where the load current stays under 9 A per pole. The reversing pair is built into a single assembly with mechanical interlocking, so you don't need to wire external interlocks between two separate contactors. Each contactor half carries 2NO-2NC auxiliary contacts, which is enough to seal in the coil and signal status back to a PLC without adding a separate aux block.
