Reversing contactor with integral auxiliaries
The 3RA9012-5AN14: It is listed as a current-production item, meaning it remains in the active Siemens catalog and is not subject to phase-out or last-time-buy restrictions.
What the 18 A rating means for the panel
The 18 A rating is the continuous current the main poles carry in AC-3 duty (motor starting). For a reversing starter, this covers the forward and reverse contactors in one package — the same 18 A applies to both directions. The 24 VDC coil is standard for PLC-driven panels where 24 V control power is already on the DIN rail. The 1NO-1NC auxiliary contacts per contactor give the panel builder one feedback pair per direction without adding a separate auxiliary block. That keeps the depth on the rail tight and reduces the parts count for the reversing interlock circuit.
