The Siemens 3RB3016-1PE0 is a SIRIUS solid-state overload relay in the S00 frame size, rated for a thermal current of 4 A with Trip Class 10E. It protects motors against overloads and phase loss using an electronic sensing element that eliminates the drift common to bimetal relays. The auxiliary contact is integrated and switches at 4 A AC-15 or 2 A at 24 V DC, making it suitable for signaling a tripped state directly to a PLC.
Mounting and Termination
Mounts directly to a contactor via the fastening method; any orientation allowed. Spring-loaded terminals on the main current circuit accept solid or stranded conductors 2x (0.25…1.5 mm²). The auxiliary screw terminals require a Pozidriv PZ2 driver with a 5–6 mm shaft diameter. Depth is 90 mm, width 45 mm, height 72 mm — fits within the S00 footprint without extra DIN-rail space.
Shock resistance tested at 15 g / 11 ms (signaling contact 9 g / 11 ms when tripped) per IEC 60068-2-27, and vibration resistance per 1–6 Hz, 15 mm; 6–500 Hz, 20 m/s², 10 cycles. Substance prohibition date of 10/01/2009 indicates RoHS compliance. The part carries a lifecycle status of current production — available for quoting against new orders.
