The Siemens 3RB3016-2PB0 is a SIRIUS solid-state overload relay in Size S00, rated for CLASS 20E trip characteristics. It is designed for contactor mounting, protecting motor circuits up to 690 V and 4 A thermal current (at 480 V and 600 V rated value). The electronic overload release provides temperature-compensated protection across -25 to +60 °C operating range.
This solid-state relay uses an electronic overload release, not a bimetallic strip, so it offers better accuracy and temperature stability than thermal-style relays. The CLASS 20E trip curve means it allows up to 20 seconds of overload at 600% of the set current before tripping — suitable for standard induction motor starts with moderate inertia loads like pumps or fans.
Mounts directly onto a contactor (fastening method: contactor mounting) in any position. The screw-type terminals for the main current circuit accept 1x (0.5 to 4 mm²) or 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. The integrated auxiliary switch provides a signaling contact for the "tripped" message. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 79 mm high, 73 mm deep.
Rated for shock resistance of 15g / 11 ms and vibration resistance per 1-6 Hz, 15 mm; 6-500 Hz, 20 m/s²; 10 cycles. The auxiliary contact ratings cover common control voltages: 2 A at 24 V, 4 A at 120 V, 3 A at 230 V, and 0.55 A at 60 V. Power dissipation per pole is 0.03 W. Storage and transport temperature range: -40 to +80 °C.
