Solid-state overload relay for motor protection
The 3RB3026-1QB0-ZW96 is a SIRIUS solid-state overload relay, S0 frame size, rated for a continuous thermal current of 25 A at 690 V — the same current limit applies at 480 V and 600 V, so it covers standard 400 V and 480 V motor circuits without derating. Trip class is CLASS 10E, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at a locked-rotor current of 7.2× the set current — a standard match for IEC motor starting duty where the thermal model must protect the winding without nuisance tripping during start. The auxiliary contact set is rated for switching at multiple control voltages: 2 A at 24 V, 4 A at 120 V, 3 A at 230 V, and 0.11 A at 220 V — these cover the common control supply rails in North American and European panels.
Mounting and panel fit
Mounts directly onto the contactor via the fastening method — no separate DIN-rail clip needed. The S0 footprint is 45 mm wide, 87 mm high, 84 mm deep, and the mounting position is any orientation, which simplifies layout in crowded enclosures. Main circuit terminals accept screw-type connections: solid wire 1x (0.5–4 mm²) or 2x (0.5–2.5 mm²), and stranded up to 2x 10 mm². The screwdriver spec calls for Pozidriv PZ2 with a 5–6 mm shaft diameter — standard electrician's tooling.
Environmental and compliance
Operates from -25 to +60 °C with temperature compensation across that range, and survives storage and transport from -40 to +80 °C. Vibration resistance: 1–6 Hz at 15 mm amplitude, 6–500 Hz at 20 m/s² for 10 cycles; shock rated at 15g / 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. The substance prohibitance date is 10/01/2009 — this is a RoHS compliance marker (the date after which new equipment placed on the EU market must meet RoHS substance limits). No UL or CSA listing appears in the record; confirm site-specific approval requirements at RFQ.
