Solid-state trip with a message output — not just a contact
The 3RB3026-2QE0 is a SIRIUS solid-state overload relay that signals a trip condition via a dedicated message output — the note field reads 'for message tripped'. Unlike a bimetallic relay that only opens its NC contact, this relay gives the PLC or HMI a direct trip-annunciation path through the 97/98 signaling contact. Trip Class 20E means the relay allows up to 20 seconds to trip at 7.2× the full-load current setting. This suits high-inertia loads like conveyors, centrifuges, or large fans where the starting transient would nuisance-trip a faster class.
Current rating and voltage independence
Continuous thermal current is 25 A, and the relay holds that same 25 A rating at both 480 V and 600 V. The maximum rated voltage is 690 V, so the relay does not derate across the 480–600 V range — useful for panels that feed both 480 V and 600 V motor branches. Power dissipation per pole is 0.57 W, so three poles running at full current dissipate about 1.7 W total — negligible for the enclosure thermal budget.
Auxiliary contact ratings across control voltages
The integrated signaling contact (97/98) is rated 4 A at 120 V and 3 A at 230 V. At 24 V it handles 2 A, and at 125 V it carries 0.3 A. The 60 V rating is 0.55 A, and at 220 V it drops to 0.11 A. These are the make/break capacities for the trip-indication circuit — match the PLC input or pilot-light load to these limits.
Mounting and wiring — Size S0, contactor direct-mount
Size S0 with contactor-mount fastening means this relay clips directly onto a SIRIUS 3RT2 contactor without separate panel wiring for the power circuit. The main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 1× 10 mm² stranded or 2× 0.25–1.5 mm² solid. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 109 mm high, 85 mm deep.
Storage and transport range is -40 to +80 °C. Shock resistance is 15 g / 11 ms, and vibration resistance follows 1–6 Hz at 15 mm amplitude, 6–500 Hz at 20 m/s², 10 cycles. Substance prohibitance date is 10/01/2009, confirming RoHS compliance.
