The Siemens 3RB3036-1UX1 is a SIRIUS solid-state overload relay in the S2 frame size, rated for a thermal current of 50 A and a Trip Class 10E.
Signal contact and tripped indication
This relay includes an integrated auxiliary switch with a dedicated signal contact for the tripped state. The contact is rated for switching at multiple voltages: 2 A at 24 V, 4 A at 120 V, 3 A at 230 V, and 0.55 A at 60 V. The note on the part specifies that this contact is "for message 'tripped'" — meaning it closes (or opens) to signal the overload condition to a PLC or indicator lamp, not for direct motor control. That distinction matters: you wire it into a 24 VDC digital input, not the contactor coil circuit.
Dimensions are 55 mm wide, 81 mm high, and 109 mm deep. The relay accepts 2× (0.25 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded conductors per terminal, with a Pozidriv PZ2 screwdriver tip required. It can be mounted in any position, operates from -25 °C to +60 °C, and is rated for 15g shock resistance (11 ms pulse) per IEC 60068-2-27. The signaling contact in the tripped position is rated for 8g / 11 ms.
