Mounting and integration into a motor starter
Size S0 is the standard Siemens frame for contactors up to about 40 A motor full-load current. The 3RB3123-4VE0 fastens directly to the contactor via the contactor mounting method — no bracket or adapter plate. Panel space is 45 mm wide by 109 mm tall by 85 mm deep. Spring-loaded terminals on the main current circuit accept solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.25 to 1.5 mm²) for the control/signaling circuit, and up to 1x 10 mm² stranded for the power circuit. The screwdriver spec is PZ2 with a shaft diameter of 5 to 6 mm. Vibration resistance is tested to 1-6 Hz at 15 mm amplitude and 6-500 Hz at 20 m/s² for 10 cycles; shock resistance is 15g / 11 ms.
Environmental and operating conditions
Storage and transport range is -40 to +80 °C. Power dissipation per pole is 1.5 W at rated thermal current. The signaling contact ratings vary by voltage: 4 A at 120 V AC, 3 A at 230 V AC, and 2 A at 24 V DC.
