The Siemens 3RF2310-1BA02 is a SIRIUS single-phase solid-state contactor rated 10.5 A in AC-51 duty (resistive loads) with a control voltage range of 24...230 VAC at 50/60 Hz. It switches instantaneously — 1 ms on and off delay — making it a straight replacement for a mechanical contactor where you want zero contact wear and no coil hum.
The 10.5 A AC-51 rating covers resistive heater banks, lighting, and transformer primaries. For motor loads (AC-53a), you'd need to derate — this part is not a general-purpose motor starter. The 6 A UL 508 rating is the ceiling for UL-listed installations; if your panel carries a UL label, spec to that figure, not the IEC number. Minimum switching current is 100 mA, so it handles low-level signals like PLC outputs to small contactors without the 'weld shut' risk a mechanical relay has at low currents.
Panel integration
At 22.5 mm wide, it takes one standard module slot — fits alongside a miniature circuit breaker or a 4-pole contactor in a crowded enclosure. Side-by-side mounting is allowed, so no derating for adjacent units. Screw terminals for both main and control circuits. Main terminals accept 1.5...6 mm² solid or stranded; control terminals take 1x 0.5...2.5 mm² or 2x 0.5...1.0 mm². AWG equivalents: main 2x 14...10. Strip and torque to the values on the nameplate — no special crimp tool needed.
