The Siemens 3RF2330-1AA24 is a SIRIUS single-phase solid-state contactor with zero-point switching, rated 30 A at AC-51 (resistive loads) and 27 A per UL 508. It's built for switching resistive heating elements, lighting banks, or transformer primaries — loads where zero-cross turn-on minimizes inrush and EMI.
The AC-51 rating of 30 A is the resistive load curve — heaters, incandescent lamps, resistive banks. That's the rating that governs continuous current in a resistive circuit. The UL 508 rating of 27 A is the nameplate you'd use for a UL-listed panel. The 600 V insulation voltage covers 480 V line-to-line systems with margin. The 40 ms on/off delay plus one half-wave means it fires within one cycle of the control signal; fast enough for most sequencing, but not for precision phase-angle control.
The main circuit terminals accept 1.5–6 mm² solid or stranded, and the control terminals take 1x 0.5–2.5 mm² or 2x 0.5–1.0 mm². For AWG, main contacts handle 2x 14–10 AWG. Screw-type terminals throughout — no spring cages, so torque them to the manufacturer spec when you land the wires.
