The 3RF3350-1BA24 is a 1-pole solid-state contactor from the Siemens SIRIUS 3RF33 family, rated for AC-15 duty at 25 A at 40 °C. AC-15 is the IEC utilization category for electromagnetic loads — solenoids, contactor coils, and brake magnets — where the inrush current can be several times the holding current. The 25 A rating means this contactor is sized for switching inductive loads up to that steady-state current without welding or excessive wear, which is the main failure mode for electromechanical contactors on such loads. The control supply is 110-230 V AC, and the main circuit accepts 48-460 V AC. Switching is instantaneous — no zero-cross or soft-start logic inside this variant. The screw terminals are standard for panel wiring; no push-in or spring-cage option on this order code.
RoHS compliance is confirmed effective 15 January 2024. This does not restrict normal industrial use but must be declared in supply-chain documentation per EU REACH.
Integration notes for panel builders
The packaging dimensions are 105 x 50 x 125 mm, which fits a standard DIN-rail footprint for the SIRIUS 3RF3 series. The single-pole form factor means it occupies one width unit on the rail, leaving adjacent slots for overload relays or additional contactors. The screw terminals accept standard ferrule or ring-lug terminations; torque settings follow Siemens standard terminal specs for the 3RF3 range. Because this is an instantaneous-switching solid-state contactor, there is no coil dropout delay or mechanical bounce. That makes it suitable for high-cycling applications — such as rapid solenoid actuation in packaging or material handling — where an electromechanical contactor would wear out from arcing or contact fatigue.
