AC-15 is the IEC utilization category for electromagnetic loads — solenoids, contactor coils, and brake magnets — where inrush can reach 10× the sealed current. The control supply accepts 24-230 V AC, covering both 24 V control transformers and direct 230 V line feeds, with instantaneous switching (no zero-cross delay) so it can break DC components or fast-cycle loads.
