What the AC-15 rating means for your circuit
The 3RF3380-3BA02 is a 1-pole SIRIUS 3RF33 solid-state contactor rated 27.5 A in AC-15 duty at 40 °C. AC-15 is the IEC utilization category for switching electromagnetic loads — solenoids, contactor coils, and clutches — where inrush can reach 10× the sealed current. That 27.5 A figure is the continuous current the semiconductor can carry while switching those inductive peaks, not a resistive-heater rating. If you are replacing a worn electromechanical contactor on a coil circuit, this solid-state unit eliminates contact bounce and coil wear.
Control voltage and wiring
Control supply accepts 24-230 V AC or 24 V DC — universal enough to drop into panels with mixed control voltages without swapping coils. Switching is instantaneous (zero-cross or random-fire not specified here, but the 'instantaneous' label suggests no built-in turn-on delay). Termination is ring cable terminal, so expect ring lugs rather than ferrules or bare wire; verify lug size against the terminal opening before wiring.
Physical fit
Packaged dimensions 105 × 73 × 128 mm (L×W×H). Fits standard DIN-rail mounting; the SIRIUS 3RF33 family shares the same footprint as the 3RF32 series, so a panel cutout for the older generation accepts this unit without re-drilling.
