The Siemens 3RG4013-0JB00 is a BERO 3RG4 inductive proximity sensor, optimized for direct connection to solid-state PLC inputs. It switches at 5 mm on a 2-wire normally-open output, powered over 15–34 V DC or 10–30 V DC (depending on the wiring leg). The nickel-plated brass barrel (18 mm diameter, 54 mm long) carries an IP67 rating, so it handles washdown zones and coolant splash without a secondary housing.
The 5 mm sensing range is the nominal flush-mount distance to mild steel. On aluminum or stainless targets, derate by roughly 40–50 %. The 2-wire DC output pulls 25 mA in the switched-on state, which is within the sink capability of any standard PLC input card — no external pull-up resistor needed. The 2 m cable is PVC-jacketed; if the routing passes through a cable track with continuous flex, consider a strain-relief boot or a sensor with a quick-disconnect connector instead.
