What this feeder does in an AS-i line
This is an AS-Interface 4-fold M12 feeder — it transitions the AS-i flat cable to four M12 sockets for connecting sensors or actuators in the field. Rated for AS-i systems without Uaux (auxiliary power) — the operating voltage follows the AS-Interface specification at 26.5 to 31.6 V, with pin 1 carrying AS-i '+' and pin 3 carrying AS-i '-'. The connection uses an insulation-piercing method for the AS-Interface flat cable, so no stripping or separate terminals are needed at the tap point.
Built for the field environment
IP67 rating means the housing seals against dust and water jets — it survives washdown and gritty plant air without potting or a secondary enclosure. Mounts on a wall or standard rail — no DIN-rail adapter needed for the flat-cable transition point.
Contact rating and socket assignment
Each M12 socket is rated for a maximum load of 4 A — adequate for powering multiple sensors or small actuators per port within the AS-i current budget. Socket assignment is fixed: pin 1 = AS-i '+', pin 3 = AS-i '-', matching standard AS-i M12 cabling conventions.
