PG coupling module for AS-Interface field wiring
The Siemens 3RG9220-0AA00 is a PG coupling module that terminates AS-Interface round cable into a field-deployed IP67 junction. It provides four PG11 entries for standard round cable, converting the AS-Interface bus into a distribution point for up to four downstream drops — each rated 4 A max contact load.
IP67 field enclosure with EOL lifecycle
The IP67 rating means the coupling module withstands washdown environments and direct hose spray when the PG glands are properly seated — suitable for food-and-bev, automotive, or outdoor conveyor lines where the AS-Interface bus runs through wet zones.
What ships in the box
The scope of supply includes one coupling module, four insertion nuts, two PG11 cable glands, and three screw plugs. The two supplied glands cover two of the four entries; the remaining two entries accept additional PG11 glands (not included) or can be sealed with the provided screw plugs.
Flat-cable compatibility note
When using AS-Interface flat cable instead of round cable, shaped PG seals (order code 3RX9 805-0AA00) are required to maintain the IP67 seal at the gland entry — standard round-cable PG11 glands do not seal the flat profile. The module operates on the AS-Interface bus voltage of 26.5 to 31.6 V DC and uses the EMS interface protocol.
