What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RH1122-1AP00-ZW97 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor in frame size S00 — a compact, panel-mount switching block that mirrors the state of a main contactor or provides isolated signal feedback. It carries two normally-open (NO) instantaneous contacts, rated 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V, with a mechanical life of 30 million operations. The 6 kV rated surge voltage resistance and pollution degree 3 rating mean it handles the transient environment typical of industrial control panels without external suppression on the auxiliary circuit.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto DIN rail — the 45 mm width and 57.5 mm height fit the S00 footprint shared across the SIRIUS contactor family. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, useful for tight enclosure layouts. Screw terminals accept 2x 0.5–1.5 mm² solid, 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm² — match the ferrule or solid-wire size to the terminal rating; the spring-cage variant is not this order code.
Environmental and compliance
Rated for operation from -25 to +60 °C, storage and transport from -55 to +80 °C. The IP20 front protection means it is finger-safe once installed in a closed panel but not washdown-rated. Shock resistance is 10g at 5 ms and 5g at 10 ms — adequate for most machine-mounted panels but not extreme vibration environments. Contact reliability is specified at one failure per 100 million operations at 17 V, 1 mA, which covers dry-circuit PLC input switching. RoHS compliance date is July 1, 2006 (substance prohibition).
