What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RH1122-1BB40-0TK1-ZX95 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor in size S00. It's a control-circuit switching device, not a main power contactor — it handles signal-level loads like PLC inputs, relay coils, and indicator lamps. The 24 VDC coil pulls in at the rated value and holds at 3.2 W, so it's a known load on a 24 VDC power supply. The 10 A rating at 24 V (AC-12 maximum) covers most control-circuit duty.
Mounting and panel fit
Mounts via screw or snap-on to DIN rail. The 45 mm width and 57.5 mm height are standard for S00 contactor accessories, so it fits alongside SIRIUS contactors in a compact panel layout. Mounting position is flexible: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and can be tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5°. Zero side clearance needed — you can stack it tight against adjacent devices. The IP20 front protection means it's safe for finger contact in an enclosed panel.
Wiring and connection specs
Terminals accept solid wire: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), and 2x 4 mm². That covers standard control wiring up to 12 AWG. Depth is 72 mm, which is typical for S00 auxiliary contactors — leaves enough room for wiring fingers in a shallow enclosure.
Switching ratings across voltages
The auxiliary contacts are rated for switching at multiple control voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.27 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 2 A at 500 V, and 1 A at 690 V. Surge voltage resistance is 6 kV. The contactor has 2 instantaneous contacts and no delayed or leading/lagging switching — it's a straightforward on/off auxiliary block.
