What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RH1122-1KV80-0LA0 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor in size S00 — a compact switching block that extends the control-circuit contacts on a main contactor or serves as a standalone signal relay in a panel. It carries 2 normally-open and 2 normally-closed instantaneous contacts, rated for switching at voltages from 24 V up to 690 V, with the current handling dropping as voltage rises: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 1 A at 690 V. The 34 V DC coil draws 11 W to close and 4 W to hold, with an integrated varistor for surge suppression.
Panel fit and mounting
The 45 mm wide body snaps onto a DIN rail or screws directly to a mounting plate — the fastening method supports both. At 57.5 mm high and 72 mm deep, it occupies the same footprint as other S00 contactors, so it drops into existing SIRIUS panels without re-drilling. The mounting position is flexible: it can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface and tilted forward or backward by ±22.5°. Wire termination accepts solid conductors: 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm² per terminal. The IP20 front protection means it's safe for finger contact in an enclosed panel but not for washdown environments.
Environmental and endurance specs
Rated for operation from -40 °C to +70 °C, with storage and transport tolerance down to -55 °C and up to +80 °C. Shock resistance is 10g for 5 ms and 5g for 10 ms — enough for most industrial machinery but not for high-vibration applications like crushers. Pollution degree 3 means it's suitable for industrial atmospheres with conductive pollution, typical of control panels not in clean rooms. Mechanical life is rated at 30 million switching operations; contact reliability is one failure per 100 million operations at 17 V and 1 mA, which covers dry-circuit PLC-level signals.
