Mounting and panel integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a DIN rail — the S00 footprint is 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, and 123 mm deep. The mounting position is flexible: ±180° rotation on a vertical surface, plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. That means you can orient it to fit tight enclosure layouts without worrying about gravity affecting the armature. Pollution degree 3 rating confirms it's built for conductive-dust environments typical in industrial panels.
Ratings and what they mean for your circuit
The 4-pole contactor has 2 normally open (instantaneous) contacts and 2 normally closed contacts — no make-before-break or delayed switching here, so it's a straightforward interlock or signal repeater. The rated switching currents vary by voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 1 A at 690 V. That derating curve follows the arc-extinction capability at higher voltages. For a 24 VDC control circuit, the 10 A rating gives you headroom for a bank of pilot lights or PLC outputs. Contact reliability is specified at one failure per 100 million operations at 17 V, 1 mA — that's the dry-circuit performance for low-energy signals like PLC inputs.
Coil and surge suppression
The 220 V AC coil draws 11 W during pickup and holds at 4 W — that's a standard inrush-to-hold ratio for AC-operated contactors. The built-in varistor clamps voltage spikes from the coil's magnetic field collapse, which extends the life of the coil and reduces EMI on the control transformer. If you're replacing a contactor that had an external RC snubber, this part eliminates that component.
