What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RH1131-1AP00-ZX95 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor in size S00 — a compact, add-on switching block that extends the control-circuit contacts on a main contactor or starter assembly. It provides three normally-open and one normally-closed instantaneous contacts, rated 10 A at 24 V (AC-12) for pilot-duty loads like PLC inputs, relay coils, and indicator lamps. Mounting is via screw or snap-on to a DIN rail, with a 45 mm width that fits standard panel layouts. The front face carries IP20 protection — safe for touch inside an enclosure, but not for washdown or outdoor exposure without a cover.
Ratings that decide fit
The contact ratings drop sharply as voltage rises — 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 1 A at 690 V — so the voltage in your control circuit governs how much load this contactor can actually switch. Use the AC-12 rating (10 A max) for resistive loads; inductive loads like contactor coils need derating. Mechanical life is typical 30 million operations, which is high for an auxiliary block — it will outlast most main contactors it rides with. Shock resistance is 10g / 5 ms and 5g / 10 ms, enough for machine-tool or conveyor applications with moderate vibration. Operating temperature spans -25 to +60 °C, storage -55 to +80 °C. Altitude limit is 2 000 m without derating. Pollution degree 3 means it tolerates conductive dust and occasional condensation — typical for industrial control panels not in clean-room conditions.
Mounting and wiring
Screw terminals accept solid or ferruled stranded conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, so it fits tight panel layouts. Zero side clearance needed between units. Depth is 72 mm, height 57.5 mm — the S00 footprint matches the Siemens 3RT1 contactor series, so this auxiliary block clips directly onto the main contactor without extra panel space.
