What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RH1131-1AS60 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor — a compact switching block that mirrors the state of a main contactor or provides isolated signal feedback in a control circuit. It carries 3 normally-open instantaneous contacts and no delayed or lagging contacts, so it closes and opens in step with the coil, not on a timer. Rated 10 A in AC-12 duty (resistive loads at 400 V, 50 Hz), it handles pilot-duty and logic-level switching inside a panel without needing an interposing relay.
Mounting and panel fit
Size S00 footprint — 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm tall, 72 mm deep — and dual mounting: screw-fix or snap onto a 35 mm DIN rail. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, so it fits tight enclosures where the rail is awkwardly placed. IP20 on the front face; pollution degree 3 rated, meaning it's suited for industrial control panels where conductive dust or condensation is possible but not continuous.
Contact ratings and wiring
Three NO contacts rated 10 A at 24 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.27 A at 220 V — the voltage derating curve matters if you're switching 120 V pilot lights or 24 VDC PLC inputs on the same block. The AC-12 maximum of 10 A at 400 V (50 Hz) is the resistive load ceiling; for inductive or motor loads, derate per the contactor's utilization category. Surge voltage resistance is 6 kV, which covers most 400 V panel transients without external suppression. Wire range accepts 2x 0.5–1.5 mm² solid, 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm² — spring-cage terminals, strip to 8 mm.
