What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RH1131-1AT60 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor in size S00 — a compact 45 mm wide block that adds three normally open instantaneous contacts to a control circuit. It is not a main power contactor; it is the signal-side relay that extends the I/O of a larger contactor or feeds status back to a PLC. Rated 10 A in AC-12 duty (resistive loads at 24 V), it handles the typical control-voltage switching inside a panel — pilot lights, solenoid valves, PLC inputs. At 230 V the rating drops to 6 A, and at 400 V to 3 A, so the thermal curve governs the real load; do not size it by the 10 A headline alone. Contact reliability is specified as one incorrect switching operation per 100 million cycles at 17 V, 1 mA — that is the low-level signal performance an integrator needs when the contactor feeds a dry-contact input card.
Mounting and integration
Fastens by screw or snaps onto a DIN rail. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, so it fits tight enclosures without special brackets. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm tall, 72 mm deep — the depth is the dimension that often surprises a panel builder swapping from an older frame. IP20 on the front; pollution degree 3 environment, so it is rated for industrial atmospheres with conductive dust. Terminals accept solid conductors: 2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm². AWG equivalents: 2x 20–16, 2x 18–14, or 1x 12. Spring-cage or screw terminals? The evidence does not specify the termination type — verify the physical sample if your panel standard requires a specific style.
Environmental and compliance
Operating temperature range -25 to +60 °C; storage and transport -55 to +80 °C. Shock resistance: 10g / 5 ms and 5g / 10 ms. Surge voltage resistance rated at 6 kV. Substance prohibition date (RoHS-like) is 07/01/2006.
