What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RH1140-1AP00-1AA0 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor, size S00, with four normally open instantaneous contacts. It is designed for control-circuit switching in motor starter assemblies, panel interlocking, and signal routing — not for direct motor load switching. The 10 A AC-12 rating at 230 V covers resistive control loads like PLC inputs, relay coils, and indicator lamps. Screw and snap-on mounting onto a DIN rail keeps integration quick in a standard panel.
Key ratings and what they mean for fit
Four NO contacts give you four independent switching paths — enough to signal a PLC, a status lamp, and an interlock from one auxiliary block. The AC-12 maximum operating current of 10 A at 230 V is the resistive-load ceiling; derate for inductive or DC loads using the per-voltage values: 1 A at 110 V, 0.27 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 2 A at 500 V, and 1 A at 690 V. At 24 V the contact is rated 10 A. The 30 million mechanical operations typical life means this contactor will outlast most panel refreshes in normal cycling.
Mounting and environment
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a DIN rail, standing on a horizontal surface. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm high, 72 mm deep — fits a standard S00 footprint. Front side carries an IP20 degree of protection, so it's touch-safe for panel use but not for washdown. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -55 to +80 °C. Rated for installation altitudes up to 2000 m and pollution degree 3. Shock resistance is 10g / 5 ms and 5g / 10 ms.
Wiring and coil data
Terminals accept solid conductors: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²), and 2x 4 mm². Coil operates at 50 Hz and 60 Hz; the rated voltage range at 50 Hz is 0.8... 1.1 times nominal, at 60 Hz 0.85... 1.1 times nominal. No leading, delayed, or lagging switching contacts — all four are standard instantaneous NO.
