Auxiliary Contactor for Control Circuits
The Siemens 3RH1362-1BB40 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor, size S00, designed for switching control and signalling circuits in industrial panels. It carries 6 normally open instantaneous contacts, rated at 10 A for AC-12 duty at 24 V, with a 24 VDC coil drawing 3.2 W for both closing and holding. The contactor mounts via screw or snap-on to a DIN rail, occupying 45 mm width, and is rated for a mechanical life of 10 million operations.
Switching Capacity Across Voltages
The contact ratings are specified per the duty category: at 24 V the contacts switch 10 A; at 110 V, 1 A; at 230 V, 6 A; at 400 V, 3 A; at 500 V, 2 A; and at 690 V, 1 A. The AC-12 rating of 10 A is the maximum operational current for resistive control loads. Surge voltage resistance is rated at 6 kV, and the pollution degree is 3, meaning the part is suited for environments with conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation.
Environmental and Mechanical Limits
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -55 to +80 °C. The contactor withstands shock at 10g for 5 ms and 5g for 10 ms. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward or backward. The front face carries IP20 protection, suitable for enclosed panel installation. Contact reliability is specified as one incorrect switching operation per 100 million operations at 17 V and 1 mA.
Panel Integration
The S00 frame size and 45 mm width fit standard DIN-rail enclosures. Screw and snap-on fastening allows tool-less installation or secure screw fixing. The solid terminals accept 2x conductors from 0.5 to 1.5 mm², 2x from 0.75 to 2.5 mm², or 2x at 4 mm², covering typical control wiring. No auxiliary switch extension is available on this variant.
