SIRIUS auxiliary contactor, 48 V DC, S00 frame
The Siemens 3RH1422-1BW40 is a SIRIUS auxiliary contactor in the S00 frame size, carrying four normally-open instantaneous contacts and a 48 V DC coil. The S00 frame — 57.5 mm wide, 90 mm tall, 72 mm deep — fits the standard DIN-rail grid alongside S00 contactors and overload relays, so a panel laid out for a 3-pole S00 contactor accepts this auxiliary block without re-spacing the gland plate. Coil holding power is a steady 3.2 W DC, with closing power at the same figure — no inrush spike to budget for on the 48 V DC supply.
Terminals accept solid conductors: 2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm². The IP20 front protection means the terminals are finger-safe once wired; the enclosure interior is not sealed against washdown, so this is a panel-mount part, not a field-mount one.
Switching capacity and environment
Shock resistance is 10g / 5 ms and 5g / 10 ms, which covers the vibration profile of most industrial control panels. Switching capacity by voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 2 A at 500 V, 1 A at 690 V for the AC ratings, and 1 A at 110 V, 0.27 A at 220 V for DC. The 0.8 initial value and 1.1 full-scale value on the spec line reference the thermal current derating curve — the contactor carries its full rated current at 40 °C ambient and derates linearly above that.
