The Siemens SIRIUS 3RH2131-1BB40-ZX95 is a size S00 auxiliary contactor with a 24 VDC coil and three normally open instantaneous contacts. It is designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail, fitting into a 45 mm wide DIN-rail footprint — the standard slot for control relays and contactors in a panel. The 24 VDC coil draws 4 W closing and 4 W holding, so the control transformer or PLC output driving it should be sized for that inrush without sag.
Contact ratings and switching capability
The three NO contacts are rated for switching at multiple voltage levels: 10 A at 24 V, 10 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 1 A at 690 V, and 0.5 A at 440 V. These ratings cover AC loads across common industrial voltages — the 10 A at 230 V is typical for general-purpose control circuits, while the 3 A at 400 V suits three-phase motor control circuits. The contacts also carry DC ratings: 10 A at 24 V, 4.7 A at 60 V, 3 A at 110 V, 1.2 A at 220 V, 0.26 A at 600 V. The arcing time is 10 to 15 ms, and the maximum mechanical switching frequency is 10,000 cycles per hour at AC.
Mounting and environmental
Mounting position is flexible: the contactor can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface and tilted forward or backward by ±22.5°. Clearances required: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Pollution degree 3 (industrial environment with conductive pollution). Relative humidity minimum 10 %. The contactor accepts wire cross-sections from 2x 0.5 mm² up to 2x 4 mm² solid or stranded.
