The Siemens 3RH2140-2JC40 is a SIRIUS coupling relay — a 4-pole auxiliary contactor for switching auxiliary circuits in control panels. It carries 4 normally-open instantaneous contacts rated at 10 A at 24 V and 10 A at 230 V, so it handles signal-level loads and small motor contactor coils without extra interposing relays. The coil is 24 VDC with a built-in diode surge suppressor, which means you don't need an external flyback diode on the PLC output driving it. The S00 contactor size keeps the footprint compact at 45 mm wide by 73 mm deep by 70 mm high. It fits alongside other SIRIUS S00 gear in a shared enclosure.
The 4 NO contacts are rated for switching at multiple voltage levels: 10 A at 24 V, 4.7 A at 60 V, 3 A at 110 V, 1.2 A at 220 V, 10 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 0.5 A at 440 V, 2 A at 500 V, 0.26 A at 600 V, and 1 A at 690 V. That covers most control-voltage standards from 24 VDC up to 690 VAC — the rating drops as voltage rises, typical for contact life. DC switching has a timing range of 38 to 65 ms, with arcing time between 10 and 15 ms.
