Product details

What This Auxiliary Switch Block Does in a Panel

The 3RH2911-1GA22-ZW96 is a front-mounted auxiliary switch block for Siemens SIRIUS contactor relays, adding two normally-open and two normally-closed auxiliary contacts to the base relay. It snaps onto the relay front without tools — the fastening method is snap-on mounting — and connects via screw-type terminals for the control wiring. The contact configuration follows EN 50011: terminals 53/54 and 83/84 are NO, 61/62 and 71/72 are NC. This layout matches standard auxiliary contact numbering for motor starter and safety circuits, so it drops into existing panel wiring without re-labeling.

Rated Switching Capacity — AC-15 Duty and Voltage Tiers

Rated operational current is 10 A maximum, with the AC-15 rating at 24 V also 10 A. AC-15 is the IEC utilization category for switching electromagnetic loads — contactor coils, solenoid valves, and brake magnets — where the inrush current can be several times the sealed current. The 10 A figure at 24 V means it handles the typical coil inrush of a medium-frame contactor without contact welding. At higher control voltages the rated current drops: 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.26 A at 600 V. For a 400 V control circuit, the 3 A rating still covers most auxiliary relay and small contactor coils. The insulation voltage is 690 V AC with pollution degree 3, and surge voltage resistance is 6 kV — adequate for industrial environments with moderate transient exposure.

Mounting and Mechanical Endurance

Mechanical service life is 10 million switching cycles typical. For a machine running at 1 cycle per second, that is over 115 days of continuous operation — well into the high-endurance range for conveyor, packaging, and material handling applications where auxiliary contacts cycle with every machine stroke.
