Front-mounted auxiliary switch for 3RT2/3RH2 contactors
The 3RH2911-1XA40-0MA0-ZW96: This is a four-pole normally-open auxiliary switch block that snaps onto the front of Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2 contactors and 3RH2 contactor relays. It adds four instantaneous NO contacts (terminal designations 53/54, 63/64, 73/74, 83/84) for feedback, interlocking, or extended control logic without increasing the panel footprint beyond the 36 mm width of the base device. Rated 10 A maximum, with a 10 A rated value at 24 V. The AC-15 switching capacity at 690 V is 1 A, and the DC-13 ratings drop from 6 A at 24 V to 0.26 A at 600 V — the load type and voltage determine the actual contact current limit, not the 10 A headline figure.
DIN rail fit and panel integration
Snap-on mounting to 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The 36 mm width matches the contactor frame, so the assembly stays within a single module pitch. Depth is 43.7 mm from the rail face — account for this when laying out gland plates or enclosure depth. Screw-type terminals accept two conductors per clamp: 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75…2.5 mm²), or 2x (20…16 AWG) and 2x (18…14 AWG). The IP20 front protection means the terminals are finger-safe once installed in a closed panel.
Switching life and signal-level reliability
Mechanical service life is 10 million switching cycles typical. For low-level signal circuits, the contact reliability is specified at 1 faulty switching per 100 million operations at 17 V, 1 mA — this covers PLC input and pilot-duty loads where oxide film on silver contacts can cause intermittent opens. Insulation voltage is 690 V AC at pollution degree 3, with a 6 kV surge voltage resistance. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C.
