It snaps onto the contactor side without tools, occupying a 10 mm wide slot on the DIN-rail assembly. The 6 kV surge voltage resistance (impulse withstand) means it holds up against switching transients on industrial mains without welding or tracking. The snap-on fastening method lets a panel builder add or swap this block without disturbing the main contactor wiring, which matters when retrofitting auxiliary contacts onto an existing S00 starter.
Contact reliability and mirror contact
This auxiliary switch carries a mirror contact per IEC 60947-4-1 when paired with a 3RT2 contactor. That means the NO contact mechanically mirrors the main contactor's state — if the main contacts weld, the mirror contact stays open, giving the safety circuit a reliable feedback path.
Terminals accept 2x (0.5... 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (20... 14 AWG). Finely stranded wire with core-end processing takes 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²).
Environmental limits
Operating temperature range -25... +60 °C; storage range -55... +80 °C. Substance prohibitance date 10/01/2009.
