Auxiliary switch block for SIRIUS contactors
The Siemens 3RH2916-2XA22-0MA0 is a front-mounted auxiliary switch block for the SIRIUS family, designed to snap onto 3RT2 power contactors and 3RH2 contactor relays. It provides 2 normally-open and 2 normally-closed instantaneous contacts, wired via spring-loaded terminals that accept 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) with ferrule or 2x (0.5... 2.5 mm²) solid — no screwdriver needed for termination, which speeds panel wiring.
Rated at 10 A maximum, the contacts handle 6 A at 24 V DC and 10 A at 24 V AC-15. The AC-15 rating at 690 V is 1 A, covering control-circuit switching for solenoid valves and contactor coils. DC switching capability is derated by voltage: 6 A at 24 V, 4.7 A at 60 V, 3 A at 110 V, 1.2 A at 220 V, 0.5 A at 440 V, and 0.26 A at 600 V. The 6 kV surge voltage resistance and 690 V rated insulation voltage (pollution degree 3) mean this block is suited for 400 V line-to-line control panels without additional isolation.
Mechanical endurance and contact reliability
Rated for 1,000,000 mechanical switching cycles typical, with a contact reliability of one faulty switching per 100 million operations at 17 V, 1 mA — this is a dry-circuit capable block, meaning it can switch low-level signals from PLC inputs or sensors without needing a separate gold-plated contact. The IP20 front protection keeps fingers out but expects enclosure protection for washdown or dust environments.
Snap-on mounting to the contactor or relay front face — no tools, no DIN rail. The 36 mm width, 47.7 mm depth, and 41.5 mm height match the standard SIRIUS contactor footprint, so it does not increase the panel depth beyond the contactor body.
