SIRIUS contactor relay, 48 VDC coil, 2NO+2NC
It carries a 48 VDC coil, draws 4 W closing and holding power, and provides two normally-open and two normally-closed auxiliary contacts (22 E switching element designation). Rated operational currents span the voltage range: 6 A at 24 V, 3 A at 110 V, 1.2 A at 220 V, 10 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 1 A at 690 V. The AC-12 rating at 6 A and DC-12/DC-13 ratings at 1 000 operations per hour define the switching duty for resistive and lightly inductive loads. Mechanical endurance is 30 000 000 cycles for the base relay, dropping to 10 000 000 cycles when an auxiliary switch block is added — still well above typical panel life. Surge voltage resistance is 6 kV, and the operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with storage from -55 to +80 °C. Installation altitude is rated to 2 000 m above sea level.
The screw-type terminals accept 2 x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2 x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2 x 4 mm² solid or stranded conductors, with equivalent AWG sizes 2 x (20 to 16), 2 x (18 to 14), or 2 x 12. Finely stranded wire with ferrule is supported at the same cross-sections. Strip length and torque values follow standard Siemens SIRIUS practice for size S00.
