SIRIUS contactor relay, 24 VDC, 1 NC + 3 NO
Coil pulls 24 VDC at 4 W closing and holding — no AC pick-up curve to worry about on DC supplies. Contact arrangement is 1 NC plus 3 NO, rated 6 A at 24 V for DC-12/DC-13 loads, and the screw-type terminals accept up to 2x 4 mm² solid or 2x 2.5 mm² stranded. Depth is 73 mm, width 45 mm, height 57.5 mm — standard S00 footprint that drops into existing panel layouts.
Contact reliability and switching frequency
Mechanical life of the contactor alone hits 30 million operations; with an added auxiliary switch block it drops to 10 million. Maximum operating frequency is 10,000 cycles per hour for both AC and DC loads. For DC-13 inductive loads, the switching frequency is limited to 1,000 cycles per hour — that's the arc-quenching constraint on DC break, not the mechanical limit. Keep that in mind if this relay is cycling a solenoid valve or brake coil frequently.
RoHS compliance date is May 1, 2012, covering the EU RoHS substance prohibitions. The part also meets REACH requirements per Siemens standard declarations. For panel builders needing UL or IEC documentation, the SIRIUS series carries those certifications as a family; specific certificate copies are available on request.
Wiring and terminal data
Screw-type terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) stranded, or 2x 4 mm² solid. For AWG: 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), or 2x 12. Finely stranded wire requires core-end processing (ferrules). Strip length is standard for screw terminals; torque values follow Siemens SIRIUS guidelines. Installation altitude is limited to 2,000 m above sea level without derating.
