The Siemens 3RH6131-1BW40 is a SIRIUS contactor relay — size S00, 48 VDC coil, 3 normally-open plus 1 normally-closed auxiliary contact (switching element identifier 31 E). It's designed to switch control circuits, signal interlocking, and pilot duty loads in a panel. The DC coil pulls 4 W closing and 4 W holding, so it's a continuous-duty magnet — no economizer needed. Rated operational current at AC-12 (resistive) is 6 A; at 230 V AC it handles 10 A, at 400 V AC 3 A, and at 690 V AC 1 A. For DC-13 switching at 24 V it's rated 6 A, dropping to 3 A at 110 V and 1.2 A at 220 V. That range covers most pilot-duty and signal-level loads you'd find in a motor control center. Mechanical life of the contactor alone is 30 million operations; with an added auxiliary switch block it's still 10 million. At 10,000 cycles per hour (both AC and DC), that's years of continuous service.
Dimensions are 57.5 mm high, 45 mm wide, 73 mm deep — a compact S00 footprint that fits tightly in a crowded enclosure. Screw-type terminals for auxiliary and control circuits accept 2 x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, 2 x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2 x 4 mm². For AWG, that's 2 x (20 to 16), 2 x (18 to 14), or 2 x 12. Finely stranded with core-end processing is also supported. Strip length is standard for screw clamps — no special tool needed.
RoHS compliant with substance prohibition date 05/01/2012. Surge voltage resistance rated at 6 kV. Installation altitude up to 2,000 m above sea level without derating.
