SIRIUS contactor relay — auxiliary switching for control circuits
The 3RH6140-1AG00 is a SIRIUS contactor relay — essentially an auxiliary contactor block with its own coil, used to multiply signal paths in control circuits rather than switch motor loads directly. It carries 4 normally open contacts, identified by the switching element code 40 E. This lets you size the contacts for the specific control voltage on your panel.
Panel fit — DIN rail footprint and wiring
Width is 45 mm, depth 73 mm, height 57.5 mm — size S00 frame. Finely stranded with ferrule also supported. This covers most control wiring gauges used in industrial panels.
Coil specs and control transformer sizing
The coil draws 37 VA apparent power on pick-up and 5.7 VA holding — size your control transformer for the inrush, not the sealed current. Maximum operating frequency under DC-12 and DC-13 duty is 1,000 cycles per hour — the DC arc extinguishes slower, so cycle rate is limited. Surge voltage resistance is 6 kV, covering impulse voltage coordination for 400 V class installations per IEC 60947.
Sourcing and lifecycle — active production, quoted to order
For volume purchases or MRO stock, the 45 mm width and S00 footprint mean it panels into the same slot as other SIRIUS size S00 devices.
