It's designed for control-circuit switching in motor control centers and panel builds — think signaling, interlocking, or extending the contact count on a larger contactor. The 4 NO configuration (catalog code 40 E) means it closes four independent circuits when the coil pulls in, rated for AC-12 duty up to 6 A and DC-13 up to 1 000 operations per hour.
Mounting and fit — panel integration
Screw terminals accept 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x 4 mm², with AWG equivalents for 20–14 gauge.
Contact reliability and switching life
Mechanical life of the contactor relay itself is 30 million operations typical; with an added auxiliary switch block it drops to 10 million. The 6 kV surge voltage resistance (rated impulse withstand) gives it headroom for industrial environments with switching transients.
