The Siemens 3RK1200-0CE00-0AA2 is an AS-Interface standard slave module in the SlimLine S22.5 form factor — 22.5 mm wide, IP20, designed for control-cabinet mounting on 35 mm DIN rail or directly to a panel wall using the push-in lugs. It brings four PNP digital inputs into the AS-i network, with each input switching high at 10 V minimum and sinking up to 5 mA at signal <1>.
Power and wiring constraints
The module draws its sensor supply from the AS-Interface cable (short-circuit and overload protected), but the output circuits — the load side of the inputs — require an external auxiliary supply of 20 to 30 V DC, compliant with VDE 0106 (PELV), protection class III. That means a separate 24 V DC power feed to the module's AUX terminals; the AS-i bus alone won't drive the outputs. The input voltage range is 20-30 V DC, and the total AS-Interface current draw is capped at 50 mA.
Terminals accept 1 x (0.5 - 4) mm² or 2 x (0.5 - 2.5) mm² solid/stranded; with end sleeves, 1 x (0.5 - 2.5) mm² or 2 x (0.5 - 1.5) mm². AWG equivalent 2 x (20 - 14). The 22.5 mm width packs tight on a DIN rail — good for high-density I/O drops. Addressing is via the front socket; the ID/ID2 code is set to 0/F. Status LEDs: green for AS-Interface communication, yellow per input for I/O state, red for fault.
