The module has 4 I/O sockets (user modules) and uses 2- and 3-wire technology for the inputs. Pin assignment: PIN4 = IN1 (D0), PIN2 = IN2 (D1) on socket 1; socket 2 repeats PIN4 = IN2 (D1); socket 3 has PIN4 = IN3 (D2), PIN2 = IN4 (D3); socket 4 has PIN4 = IN4 (D3). The sensor supply from the AS-Interface bus is short-circuit and overload resistant. Inputs are NPN, so the load connects between the positive supply and the input — verify polarity before wiring.
