The Siemens 3RK1200-0DQ00-0AA3 is a K60 compact digital input module for field deployment, offering 8 PNP inputs across 8 M12 sockets with IP67 protection. It requires two consecutive PROFIBUS addresses, so plan your address map accordingly — this module occupies two slots, not one.
Integration notes
Mounts on standard DIN rail or via wall-mounting plate (not included). Each M12 socket maps two input channels: PIN 4 carries the first input, PIN 2 the second. The module draws sensor supply from L+ (PIN 1) and L- (PIN 3), shared across all sockets. Ground terminal PIN 5 connects to the mounting plate's grounding wrist strap — don't skip that bond in a washdown zone.
IP67 means the housing and M12 connectors survive hose-down and temporary immersion — suitable for food, beverage, or conveyor lines where washdown is routine. The 20-30 VDC supply range is typical for field I/O; the PNP input circuit expects sourcing sensors. Signal-1 threshold is 6 mA minimum, signal-0 is 1.5 mA max, which matches standard 3-wire proximity switches.
