The Siemens 3RK1205-0BG00-2AA2 is a Slimline Compact I/O module for the control cabinet, designed as an AS-Interface safety slave. It carries two safety-related digital inputs (2F-DI) and uses the AS-i slave profile S-0.B.F. The module is rated for safety up to PL e per EN ISO 13849-1 and Category 4, with a safe failure fraction of 99% and a PFHd of 4.5E-9 1/h for high-demand applications. It operates on the AS-Interface bus voltage range of 18 to 31.6 V and supports AS-i Power24V.
Panel fit and field wiring
This module is 17.5 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 120 mm deep — a single slice on a DIN rail. Mounting is screw and snap-on, so it clips into place without tools. The IP20 rating means it lives inside a cabinet, not on the line floor. Connections are spring-loaded terminals accepting 0.5 to 1.5 mm² solid or stranded wire (AWG 20–16), or 0.25 to 1.0 mm² finely stranded with ferrules. The ID1 code is factory-set to F and changeable via the front addressing socket. Yellow LEDs show input/output status.
