The Siemens 3RK1207-3BQ40-0AA3 is an AS-Interface analog input module from the K60 compact series, designed for field-mounting with IP67 protection. It provides two analog inputs (Type 2 inputs) for thermal resistors (Pt100, Ni100) or resistive sensors in the 0-600 ohm range, using 4-conductor connection technology for lead compensation. The module accepts 2, 3, or 4-conductor sensors via two M12 screw-type sockets, with a 16-bit A/D resolution. The measuring range is adjustable, and the input variable is parameterizable, with a configurable smoothing function.
Power and communication
Powered via the AS-Interface bus at 26.5-31.6 V, the module draws up to 100 mA from the profile conductors at 30 V. An auxiliary voltage (Uaux) supply of 24-30 V is required for sensor power, drawing up to 500 mA from the Uaux infeed. Without Uaux, the module draws a maximum of 46 mA from the AS-i bus. The module is configured as an analog slave with ID code 3 and I/O configuration 7, profile 7.3. A 50 Hz line filter is standard. Status indication is provided by green LEDs for AS-Interface and AUX PWR, and a red LED for FAULT.
The module measures 60 mm wide, 152 mm high, and 29 mm deep. The IP67 protection class means the sealed housing and M12 connectors withstand washdown and dust ingress, suitable for direct field installation on conveyors or machine frames.
