Where it fits — panel and field
The 3RK1207-3BQ44-0AA3-ZA01: This module mounts on standard rail or wall-mounted via a separate mounting plate (3RK1901-0CA00, ordered separately). The IP67 rating means the housing and M12 screw-type terminals handle washdown environments — suitable for food processing, bottling lines, or outdoor conveyor sections where dust and moisture are present. It measures 60mm wide by 152mm tall by 29mm deep, so it tucks into tight spots on a machine frame without eating up DIN-rail space in the main cabinet.
Power and communication constraints
The module draws power from the AS-Interface bus (26.5-31.6V) and also needs an auxiliary supply (Uaux) at 24-30V to power the connected sensors. Maximum current draw from the bus at 30V is 100mA; with Uaux connected, the module itself pulls up to 500mA from the auxiliary feed. Without Uaux, it draws 46mA max. The AS-Interface profile is 7.3 with ID code 3 and I/O configuration 7 — these must match the master's configuration for the module to be recognized on the network.
Environmental limits and status indicators
Status LEDs on the front panel show AS-Interface communication (green), auxiliary power (green), and fault conditions (red LED), so a quick walk-by tells you if the module is talking and powered without cracking the enclosure.
