The Siemens 3RK1300-0DS01-1AA1 is an electromechanical reversing starter from the SIRIUS EM 300 RS family, designed for ET 200X distributed I/O environments. It integrates a reversing contactor pair with bimetal overload protection, a motor brake output, and PROFIBUS DP communication into a single IP65-rated enclosure. Rated for 0.09 kW at AC-3 duty class on a 400 V supply, the setting range spans 0.22 A to 0.32 A for the bimetal overload relay. This makes it suited for small three-phase motors — fractional-horsepower pumps, fans, or conveyor drives — where reversing capability and motor protection are needed in one package. The operating voltage range is 400 to 500 V AC, and the unit carries a maximum short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) of 50 A at 400 V. The main current circuit connects via tab terminals, typical for the ET 200X plug-in system.
Fieldbus integration and brake control
PROFIBUS DP protocol is built in, so the starter communicates directly with a PLC over the fieldbus without a separate gateway module. The product function for bus communication is enabled, meaning parameterization and diagnostics travel over the same network cable. A motor brake output is included — a DC 24 V / 3 A contact for externally supplied brakes. This is the feature that distinguishes this variant: if your motor has a holding brake that needs a separate DC supply, this starter handles the switching without an extra interposing relay.
Dimensions are 134 mm deep, 140 mm wide, and 270 mm high. It mounts directly in the ET 200X distributed system, so the 9-pole motor feeder and 9-pole power connection mate with the backplane bus. No additional DIN-rail or panel footprint is needed beyond the system slot it occupies.
